Monday 22nd August – bike **** – Around Felixstowe including lunch with ‘Emily’ at Falkenham Church– sunny periods and hot.

After two foiling sessions over the weekend todays SE breeze was too light leaving me free to do my exercises while Mag potters in the garden, collecting even more small tomatoes, we have had a good harvest so far. I then make egg sandwiches and we head out on our bikes at 12.10 deciding to go and visit ‘Emily’ at our favourite Falkenham church. Down past the Grove park in sunny period’s but feeling pretty warm continuing down Marsh lane to Kings Fleet and up to the church, everywhere is really quiet and we hardly see anyone the whole bike ride:) We enjoy our delicious picnic not much wildlife today, just loads of pigeons until we have a fly from a dozen long tailed tits:) Well rested we carry on the usual way to Kirton, over the A 14 at Trimley to our tee lined path back to Felixstowe. Through the docks, past the dock gate one round about which is tuned into a circus with camera crews and striking dockers:( and onto the very busy prom stopping off at Tesco’s for some bits and pieces including a local paper as I have two pics in:)
